Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Operator Of Cell Pet Salon In Hillsborough

James Taylor expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that JUJU (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. Taylor said that after Jujur was bitten by a dog, the groomer taped his mouth shut. The result? A bloody, distressed dog.

Taylor recounted, "My dog was clearly in distress. What I initially thought was a muzzle turned out to be tape. Jujur's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.

Puppy Lux - a mobile salon for pets - employed the groomer to perform these actions.

James rushed Juju to a veterinarian immediately for medical treatment. He joined a number of others in accusing Puppy Lux for animal abuse. San Mateo initiated an investigation for possible animal abuse.

James described what he saw. "I noticed injuries near the joints, in the neck area, and animal abuse fine around the genital areas." The wounds were so severe they caused bleeding."

Jack Smithr posted on Yelp a review about how Puppy Lux returned his animals to him in a bad condition or with injuries. Another customer captured a Snapchat video showing a dog in apparent pain, claiming that a groomer had forcefully inserted a napkin into the dog's ear.

Puppy lux wants its customers to understand what their groomer said to him. After all, they trusted this person with the care of their animals. James said, "Jonny told me that tapering the mouth shut was a normal, acceptable method. He claimed it is better than using a muzzle which, according to him, can be harmful for dogs. He also mentioned that he personally uses this method on his own dogs."

Fox contacted Puppy Lux, who answered the phone and handed it to a woman claiming that they were investigating allegations. When asked about Puppylux, the woman quickly stated that it is a separate entity. Then she abruptly ended her call.
